Notary Public

Anne Kinnear is a Notary Public. A Notary Public is the holder of a public office and a member of a distinct branch of the legal profession, who having through additional training and qualifications has been granted the power to act in legal transactions most frequently associated with foreign jurisdictions.

The function of a Notary Public is to draw, attest or certify under their official seal, deeds and other documents for use anywhere in the world. Documents executed by a Notary Public under the signature and official seal of a Notary Public are recognised in most countries of the world.

Notarial acts require a high standard of care, as third parties, foreign governments and officials rely on the documents completed by a Notary Public. Thus, a Notary Public is required to check the identity of an individual by the production of proper identification documents (eg, current valid passport and NSW Drivers Licence to confirm their address.)

Proof may also be required, by production of appropriate certificates where applicable, of birth, baptism, marriage, divorce or deed poll on change of name.

In the case of companies, please contact Anne to discuss the details of the proof and information required.
